About us

TAURIS Group is a leading producer and distributor of meat and meat products as well as fish and delicatessen products.

The group consists of four production plants (TAURIS Rimavská Sobota, TAURIS Spišská Nová Ves, TAURIS Mojmírovce and RYBA Košice), its own brand retail market chain “Mäsiarstvo u býka“ butcher´s, Rybabistro and TAURIS distribution – a Slovak logistics and distribution centre.

TAURIS Group is a strong company with good economic results accomplished mainly by orientation on its own production with a higher added value and a long-term strategy of traditions and quality.

A strategy of the company is focused on a social responsibility as well as the aim not to be a quantitative leader but a producer of the highest quality products. Due to this decision, the company tends to distinguish itself from competitors and it is not going to compromise its principles.

The company portfolio consists of products made of the highest quality raw material with an emphasis on traditional and proven recipes.

 

TAURIS GROUP COMPANY HISTORY

Barbora Rozhanovská, a widow of Ladislav de Zechen, granted a privilege for a mill near the Rimava river to butchers from Rimavská Sobota. The mill became a municipal slaughterhouse for a few decades.
The municipal slaughterhouse was replaced by a new meat-processing plant which became a part of š.p. Stredoslovenský mäsový priemysel, Zvolen.
TAURIS, a.s. was originated from the privatization of the state enterprise Mäsový priemysel.
NITRIA Mojmírovce company joined TAURIS, a.s.
TAURIS Cassovia company and its network of shops was founded.
Eco Invest Eco Investment company became an owner of the company, joined other meat-processing
NOEMA became another subsidiary of Tauris Group.
RYBA Košice spol. s r. o., a leading manufacturer of cod and other fish and delicatessen products, reinforced Tauris Group as a new subsidiary.
A merger of RYBA Košice spol. s r.o., TAURIS Cassovia, s.r.o., TAURIS NITRIA spol. s r.o., CALMAR spol. s r.o. with TAURIS, a.s.
TAURIS Group is celebrating 30 years on the market.
